Chester Joe Ard, Owner, GA License # 218455

Joe Ard graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1974 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Private and due to his ambitious nature, ended an illustrious career 21 years later, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his time in the Army, Joe also earned a masters degree in Software Design. Upon his retirement from the U.S. Army, Joe became a licensed Real Estate salesperson in 2000. Joe quickly set himself apart from his peers by being recognized as the Fayette County Board of Realtors “Rookie of the Year.”  Joe has put his entrepreneurial spirit and gritty work ethic to use by always finding the non-traditional niche’. Joe excelled early in his real estate career by using an innovative method to assist homeowners who wished to sell their homes without the representation of a real estate professional.  It wasn’t until 2005 that Joe found his true calling as a “HUD and REO expert.”  While affiliated with Gateway Realty in 2007, Joe gained his first experience as a HUD listing agent with the successful selling of 131 HUD listings. Joe founded Vestlet Realty in 2008 and is now recognized as the foremost HUD & REO expert in Metro-Atlanta. In addition to educating first-time homebuyers, Joe’s team of HUD & REO Specialists closed 331 properties in 2009 and 250+ properties to date in 2010.

Qualifying Broker
Rich Blenz, Qualifying Broker, GA License # 283351

Rich Blenz graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1999, earning a degree in Engineering Management.  Rich served for five years as an Armor Officer in the 3^rd Infantry Division to include a tour of duty in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon completion of his military obligation, Rich decided to pursue a career in real estate.  Rich became a licensed sales person in 2005 and spent three years as a member of the top sales team at RE/MAX Around Atlanta All Stars.  With the market downturn in 2007, Rich seized the opportunity to transition into non-traditional real estate, and join Joe Ard and Vestlet. In addition to achieving the title of Vestlet Realty’s Top Sales Agent in 2008 and 2009 selling 59 and 80 HUD and REO properties respectively, Rich earned his Associate Brokers license in 2008 and became the Qualifying Broker of Vestlet Realty on April 8, 2010.  Rich’s hard work and dedication as well as his unique talent in systems engineering has catapulted Vestlet Realty to the premiere HUD and REO clearinghouse in the Metro-Atlanta area.

Our Metro-Atlanta team currently consists of 18 HUD & REO Specialists. Each Specialist has intimate knowledge of the various neighborhoods for which they live and work throughout metropolitan Atlanta. They understand the unique real estate trends of their particular area of expertise and can help Homebuyers based on these trends. Our Specialists will walk you though the complicated bidding process so you know what to expect at every turn.
